The Greater Largo Library Foundation is unveiling a new fundraising initiative, Free to Read Book Fund Campaign. Like our current Library Champions Giving Campaign, the Free to Read Book Fund Campaign will be an ongoing fundraising initiative.

Your gift to the Greater Largo Library Foundation will maintain the programs and services of the library not supported by the City of Largo. It is never too late to contribute to our mission. Our current Library Champions campaign is an ongoing fundraising initiative that is still accepting donations. Click the button below to donate, and then check out the Largo Public Library website to view up-to-date hours and services, as well as virtual programming and activities! https://www.largopubliclibrary.org/

Thank you for your continued support of the Greater Largo Library Foundation.

Welcoming Week

The Largo Public Library is excited to announce its 9th year of participating in Welcoming Week, an annual campaign that celebrates communities as inclusive and welcoming places for all. This year’s theme, "Stories We Share," highlights the City of Largo’s commitment to embracing diversity and fostering a sense of belonging for everyone. More information here.

Free To Read Fund

The Greater Largo Library Foundation is proud to introduce the Free to Read Fund—a new initiative dedicated to expanding access to books and resources for everyone in our community. Your donation will help fill important gaps in the Largo Public Library’s collection, based on the needs and requests of our patrons. Together, we can ensure that every reader has the freedom to discover the stories, knowledge, and ideas that matter most to them.

To honor our donors, contributions of $100 or more will be recognized on our new Largo Literacy Tree, now on display in the library lobby near the Friends of the Library Bookstore. The tree’s initial funding—and the first gift to the Free to Read Fund—was generously bequeathed by longtime librarian, friend, and advocate for the Freedom to Read, Karen Roth. Her legacy will continue to grow as each donation adds a new leaf to the tree.

If you’d like to add your name to the tree—or make a gift in honor of a friend or loved one—please click on the donate button or visit the donation box located in the library beside the tree to learn more.
